We found 3 local minimum sea surface temperature and surface
chlorophyll-a concentration regions in the southern coasts of the Savu
Sea in Indonesia during the southeast monsoon season (June to August).
And then, we investigated why these regions exist by analyzing the
seasonal relative contributions of wind-induced ocean currents (Ekman
transport) and air–sea heat fluxes, as well as how these regions
respond to remote forcing from the Indian Ocean during Indian Ocean
Dipole events.
