We held a workshop (ARRS2018) with Irie laboratory (Chiba university) in Nasu from Sep. 12 to 14. In this workshop, we observed solar radiation, ultraviolet-visible spectrum, infrared radiation temperature, infrared radiation, temperature and atmospheric pressure around Mt. Nasu-dake. We analyzed the data and gave presentations.
On the first day, we prepared and tested instruments.
On the second day, we went to Mt. Nasu-dake and made observations and analyzed the data.
On the third day, after continuing the analysis, we gave presentations about the analysis results for each group. As one of the analysis contents, using infrared radiation and infrared radiation temperature measurement data, assuming a black body, the infrared radiance was converted to the equivalent temperature, and we compared it with the time variation of the infrared radiation temperature. When comparing, the deviation of the time variation was seen due to the deviation of the observed position, but fluctuation of radiation temperature due to cloud fluctuation was seen. Besides, we drew up the relationship between atmospheric pressure and temperature using data measured at Mt. Nasu-dake. Although the variation seemed to be large, as the pressure became lower, the temperature went down.
Since I usually use data from satellite observations and do not use ground observation instruments so much, it is a very good experience to take data and analyze it. (M1 Amma)
