The JpGU-AGU Joint Meeting 2020 was held online from July 12 to 16, 2020. Six people from this laboratory, including three professors and three students, participated. Also, Dr. Iwabuchi, Dr. Khatri, and Mr. Yamashita gave an online poster presentation.

Due to the recent COVID-19 situation, most of the research meetings were canceled or postponed. Thus, it was hard to collect information about a research hot topic. This online meeting gave me valuable experience to broaden my knowledge through the interesting latest research results. In addition to the online poster, I was spared the time to introduce my research at a real-time oral presentation session. It was a challenging experience for me to get used to international meetings. To be able to discuss with prominent researchers, I would like to make an effort for academic research and improving my English skill.（M2 Yamashita)
